Personal Grooming For University Interns

So I grabbed to Grab to conduct a Personal Grooming workshop for the amazing university interns.

These bright young talents came from National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore Management University, and SIM Global Education – each one bringing their own spark and energy to the session.

What made this workshop extra meaningful?

It wasn’t just assigned. The interns themselves voted for the topic – a clear sign that they recognised how important grooming and professional presence are in today’s competitive world.

Even more inspiring? The entire workshop was initiated and organised by one of their HR interns who took the lead in making it happen. 👏👏👏

Why Grooming Matters – Especially Now

Throughout the session, we explored how small grooming habits can have a big impact. From the first handshake to the final farewell, the little things do matter.

It’s not about being flashy or overly polished. Instead, it’s about being intentional with your presence – and communicating confidence, credibility and respect even before you speak.

Grooming as a Form of Communication

Every interaction counts.

The way you present yourself tells a silent story – about how you work, how you carry yourself and how seriously you take the opportunity.
From polished shoes to neat hair, fresh breath to posture – grooming reflects your readiness and attention to detail.

And in environments where everyone is technically competent, those soft skills can make all the difference.
