How To Build Your Personal Brand On Google

Fact: The King of Rock and Roll Elvis Presley recorded more than 600 songs throughout his career.
But do you know how many songs did he actually write?
Not a single one!
Not “Jailhouse Rock”.
Not even “Hound Dog”!
The King was just a great performer. All he did was to find great songwriters for his biggest hits.
My point is this – You don’t have to do everything yourself.
Elvis didn’t need to write his own songs to become one of the biggest rockstars of all time. He just leveraged on the right platform.
Similarly in our case. Let someone else who is more qualified do it for us. And that platform is…..
**drumroll**
Google.
Hey Google, can you brand me please?
In order to become the rockstar of your industry or niche, you need Google.
Let’s look at the facts.
According to the July 2020 statistics from Statcounter which tracks the market share of search engine worldwide, Google dominates the search engine results worldwide (92.17%), in Asia (91.5%) and in Singapore (95.9%).
And personally, being a huge Google fan for many years, I have also been studying what really works for both business and personal development.
Recently, I shared some of my best kept secrets in my personal branding masterclasses. In particular, I showed hands-on how easy it was to use the right strategies to get yourself known and found on the Google search engine.
When someone Googles your name and you come up tops, the rest is just history. Google just “sold” both you and your brand to your prospective company, hirer or client.
The world has changed. There is now even more competition than ever. Being good or even great at what you do isn’t enough. You need to stand out from the crowd.
Every opportunity will involve a Google search of your personal brand. Every team you lead will be based on your story, and not your CV. Every deal that you complete is because of who you are, not what is says on your business card.
If in doubt, you go to your personal brand. That is your most valuable asset.
