Corporate Lunchtime Grooming Talk: Rotary Engineering Limited
Rotary Engineering Limited is one of the region’s leading oil and gas infrastructure services companies with an extensive international experience offering fully integrated engineering design, procurement, construction and maintenance (EPCM) services to the oil and gas, petroleum, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries.
Yesterday’s Corporate Lunchtime Grooming Talk Series was held at Jurong Island (which I visited for the very first time) and today’s session held at its Tuas office.
With the majority of the men dressed in their company overalls and the ladies in their office wear, it was comforting to see an equal number of both genders.
Speaking to the staff on the importance of personal grooming in a condensed half-hour timeslot is challenging but not impossible. After all, it is meant to be an eye-opener to the staff during lunchtime and an opportunity for me to promote my full-day workshops to them.
Like a magician who amazes but does not reveal all his tricks immediately, I spoke about image destroyers (which the staff really enjoyed as I could sense the energy level go up significantly) and body shapes (for the first session) and face shapes (for the second session). If you think it was just me talking all the way in this short 30-minute slot, you are definitely mistaken. The participants got to engage in meaningful discussions with their partners as well as do hands-on to find out about themselves better.
